venus_smallBeing a person who has been diagnosed with breast cancer, took an alternative route and said no to the most common treatments of cutting, poisoning, burning, and I am still here to tell the tale with my beautiful “girls” enacted (girls are my breasts.) I have had plenty of years to study and contemplate this epidemic called cancer.  If we continue on this path it will become a pandemic within the next ten years. This could mean that 57 to 75% of people will be diagnosed with some form of cancer. Scary!

Do you think cancer just shows up on your doorstep one day? Wrong!  It grows every day and we feed the beast with our thoughts, lack of good nutrition, toxic environments and lifestyles. I will always stand on this statement: If I knew then what I know now, I would have never been diagnosed with breast cancer. However, I was and it has in so many ways blessed my life; I had to change and I wanted to live more than anything. I’m still a work in progress, even as I am constantly learning, I get tripped up and sometimes even falling, I must say I like the new me more and more every day.

I’m doing a series on how cancer is a perfect storm; it’s not one thing that causes cancer to be diagnosed but two or more factors that get the storm brewing. Contrary to most people’s beliefs genetics are a very small percentage of the whole picture, somewhere between 2-5%!

With that said, let’s talk!  Do you believe you are a sitting duck and your genes are your destiny? Well fasten your seat belts because it’s going to be a wild ride. I’m going to do my best to educate you.  My prayer is you will look at all this differently, begin to take back your health and start being the master of your own health plan that is a preventive way of life. A life of joy without fear and believing  that your body is capable of healing. I’m here to tell you that God made you wonderfully perfect and to perform perfectly.

How have we gotten to this place where we have almost become harden to hearing that yet another friend, relative or child has been diagnosed with cancer? As a child I never remember any of my friends or classmates having cancer or any of my parent’s friends. It seemed to be for the very old and they died pretty quickly from the treatments. Now it has become common place and I’m mad as hell! I will spend the rest of my time on this earth inspiring people to take the fear out of their hearts and get down to business when it comes to their emotional, spiritual and physical health. There is something very wrong here and it’s not your genetics that is the enemy.

Stay tuned for part 2; The Storm is Brewing
